C. Thesis and Papers Presented

Topic 1: “Socio-economic and Political impact of foreigners on Ghana Independence”.

My thesis work presented to University of Ghana for Partial fulfilment of M’ Phil programme which was passed in March 2004. This work is an assessment of the history of foreigners in Ghana and how their activities impacted either positively or negatively on the people of Ghana. It offers practical suggestions to the country as to how it could maximise its benefits from its foreign population.

Topic 2: “Political Parties and the District Assemblies; Should the Divorce continue?”

This paper was presented at a Forum organised by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) for all political parties in Ghana at Koforidua in the Eastern Region. This paper explains the rationale behind the District Assembly concept as practised in Ghana and why it should continue to be non-partisan.

Topic 3: “Improving Computer Accessibility to Africa”

This paper was presented to a youth caucus attending Hague Appeal for peace conference in the Hague, Netherlands in 1998. it reveals how difficult it is to have access to computers in most of the African countries especially in Ghana where electricity is non existent in many parts. It also suggested ways of improving assesiblility.

D. Some Positions Occupied

1991 – 1992:Economic & English Teacher – St. Roses Secondary School – Akwatia (National Service)

Responsibility: Thought students of Form One and Two English Language and form three and four students, Economics.

1996–1997: Local President, National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) University of Ghana.

Responsible for the mobilization of Ghana Students for NUGS affairs and represented the students at Central Committee Meetings.

1998 – 2000:Member, Board of Trustees, National Youth Council (NYC)

The NYC is the Highest Decision-making body on Youth Affairs in the country and meets from time to time to take decisions on Youth and Students Affairs.

1999 – 2000: Coordination Secretary NUGS

Responsibility: The administrative Head of the organisation and in charge of all student’s affairs. The head of the NUGS Headquarters Secretariat and Co-ordinates all Students affairs on the various Tertiary Institution.

2001–2002: President, Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) – University of Ghana Branch

Responsibility: Head of the Muslim students in the University and represents them in all matters.

2002 – Date:Deputy General Secretary (Fin. & Admin.) National Democratic Congress (NDC)

Responsibility: In charge of administration of the party offices in all 230 constituencies, 10 regional Headquarters and the National Headquarters. Also controls the income and expenditure involving administration and reports directly to the General Secretary. Handles all protocol work of the party.

1998-date: Managing Director, Meeme Business Ventures
Reresponsibility: to manages the company.

1998: Hague Appeal for Peace Conference, the Netherlands. Led a team of Ghanaian Students to represent the country’s Youth.

1998: European Students Union Conference in Cyprus. Represented NUGS on
behalf of Ghana Students.

2003: Swedish Social Democratic Party Conference in Sweden. Represented the NDC at the Conference

2005: Italian Social Democratic Party Conferences in Rom'e, Italy.
Represented the NDC together with three other officials of the Party.

2006: Labour Party Congress in Manchester – UK 2006. Represented the NDC together with other officials.
